How antique furniture is moved
Antique furniture is checked for loose veneers, handles, mouldings and glass before it moves. Doors and drawers are secured or taken out, marble tops and mirrors travel upright and separately, and anything that comes apart is dismantled only with your agreement.
Send the measurements of each piece and say whether it comes apart. A photograph shows us the handles, feet and carving that need protecting.
The right size of van
We run vans of different sizes, so a single chair does not need a large van and a room of furniture does not need two trips. Give us the measurements of the largest piece and a rough count of the rest, and we will send a van that fits.
Loading and unloading
Bigger items go with two people. Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow doorways, parking and anything very heavy when you book, so the cost is agreed and the carry is planned before the day. Further help with loading, carrying and unloading, and wrapping by us, are available at an extra cost. If a piece needs more hands, we will say so when we quote, not on the doorstep.
For dealers, retailers and interior designers
We deliver to your clients’ homes, collect from restorers, upholsterers and framers, and move stock between showroom, store and fair. Tell us the usual pattern and each job can be quoted from a short message.

For events and launches
Event planners use the same service for display pieces, props and furniture: delivered for the build, collected at the get-out. Send the venue’s delivery rules and both times with the request. See art fairs and exhibitions.
